Rob Wilson established R M Wilson engineering in 1972, having served his apprenticeship with rally star Roger Clark. Rob went on to work for Tom Wheatcrofts Donnington Collection as chief mechanic with experience gained on an endless list of Grand Prix cars.  1972-74 was spent working in conjunction with David Clarke of Greypaul motors (this was his introduction to Ferrari).

Since establishing R M Wilson Engineering and having a close working relationship with Tony Merrick, Rob has restored and recreated numerous Ferrari, Maserati, Alfas and many more marques.

Sam joined the family business in 2005 having spent his apprenticeship with Quorn Engine Developments, from an early age, Sam was fascinated by the racing engines in our workshop.

Sam started karting at 13 and immediately he was building and tuning his own engines and soon providing a service for fellow competitors, which won many races and championships. In 2008 Sam progressed to Historic Formula Junior, where he has built and prepared his own car and engine, enjoying 20 podiums in 22 finishes, including 3 wins at the Silverstone Classic and Goodwood revival.
